Angela Henderson to Provide Closing Keynote at “Women in Automotive and Motorsports Summit”

Accomplished automotive executive Angela Henderson will provide the all-important closing keynote at this year’s “Women in Automotive and Motorsports Summit” (WAM) Sept. 24-26 on the campus of Tennessee State University in Nashville.

Her message entitled “You’re Up Next, So What’s Your Next Move?” caps the summit’s focus on how women can create a career path for success within the automotive or motorsports industry.

“Whether speaking to executives, women leaders, or emerging talent,” says Bob Dickinson, founder of STEAM Sports Foundation and co-producer of WAM, “Henderson makes complex ideas practical, human, and actionable. Her goal is not simply to inspire an audience, but to help people leave with the confidence and tools to move forward with intention.”

Her diverse perspective fuels her passion for helping women navigate pivotal seasons of life and career - reinvention, leadership transitions, unexpected disruption, new beginnings, and the decision to redefine success on their own terms. She brings the same clarity, courage, and practical discipline she used in the boardroom to conversations about confidence, resilience, authenticity, and personal growth.

Henderson, who spent 27 years at Ford Motor Company domestically and internationally, is recognized as a transformational business executive, speaker, coach, and advisor experienced in leading change across global organizations. Her career spans automotive, energy and utilities, with leadership experience across manufacturing, product development, supply chain, procurement, culture, and enterprise transformation.

As a former Vice President of Supply Chain of Michigan’s largest utility, Henderson led a $3.2 billion materials and services portfolio and a large-scale transformation designed to move the supply chain from a back-office function to a strategic enterprise partner. During her corporate career, she built operating models, strengthened governance and accountability, developed leaders, improved supplier and organizational performance, and helped teams navigate complex change while staying focused on execution and results.
